Scripture in the Morning #24
1 John 2:20 You have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you [Christians] know the truth.
We are called to believe and trust in Jesus and moved to believe and trust in Jesus. The Lord, in the power of the Holy Spirit at work in us, moves us to honor God’s name and to be vessels of blessing in His hand.
As the Spirit of God works in our lives, we gradually become like what we are called to be. We become more trusting, more fully defendant upon Grace, more filled with truth, more humbled and more led to be a vessel of blessing. God uses our every experience as a means to grow us. With time, and by Grace alone, our identity aligns more and more with our Biblical call.
All this is to say yet another thing that defines us. Who are we? We are a work in progress.
Philip. 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
When the Lord is finished with us here on this earth, He will call us home. Until that day, we have purpose, we have meaning, we are never alone and are always guided by He who ordains all things as He increasingly blesses us and uses us to bless others. We are a work in progress in His hands and nothing in this life could be better.
